Join Jennifer Keller, NC State Apiculture Program Extension & Outreach Coordinator, in the Toe Cane Beekeepers Educational Apiary at Mayland on Wednesday, April 27 at 10 a.m.
Jennifer will provide practical skills and a deeper understanding of bee biology and queen production while helping members strengthen the long-term health and sustainability of their colonies. Topics will include colony development, bee biology, different approaches to queen rearing, recognizing properly aged larvae, swarm management, making splits, improving local bee genetics, and practical hive stewardship techniques to help every beekeeper better understand and manage their colonies.
The workshop is limited to 20 attendees, and preregistration is required. Donations are gladly accepted from members, while non-members are required to pay $20. Attendees who donate $50 or more will get a free TCBA membership.
